Climate Tech Lookbook

A structured research platform tracking and classifying climate-relevant technologies across major economic sectors.

Climate innovation is evolving fast but access to clear, comparable information often lags behind.

The Climate Tech Lookbook is Earthwise Institute’s flagship effort to track, classify, and demystify the technologies that can cut emissions or help societies adapt to a changing climate. It spans all major sectors energy, industry, transport, agriculture, buildings, waste, and more bringing together scattered knowledge into one accessible platform. At its core, the Lookbook is built on Earthwise’s own continuously-updated datasets, combining open-source intelligence, field research, and verified project-level information. Each technology entry highlights:

  • its stage of development and commercial readiness,
  • its adaptability to different regions and industrial contexts,
  • the cost–benefit profile, including capital needs and potential emissions impact,
  • and documented examples of deployment around the world.

The project will be presented in two complementary formats:

  1. An open database that allows stakeholders to search, filter, and download structured data on hundreds of climate technologies.
  2. An interactive web platform with maps, charts, and visual pathways that help users from policymakers and financiers to researchers and businesses explore the options most relevant to their sector or region.

By making climate-tech knowledge transparent, data-rich, and easy to navigate, the Lookbook aims to help decision-makers identify promising solutions, weigh trade-offs, and accelerate the adoption of innovations that matter most for decarbonization and climate resilience.
